Jimmy Nicholson has revealed he was approached to be on Married at First Sight, prior to his stint as The Bachelor Australia in 2021.
The 31-year-old found love on the famed dating show and is still loved up AF with his final pick, Holly Kingston.
In an interview with Yahoo! about the future of the Bachelor franchise, Jimmy confessed that he has “a suspicion” that the show would soon become “a little bit more MAFS-esque.”
It’s been known that the franchise was facing a major overhaul after raking in some abysmal ratings over the last few seasons. And, we even have it on good authority that there will be MULTIPLE Bachelors.
However, Jimmy dropped a fresh bombshell which dished that producers asked him to take part in the cursed AF marriage experiment several years ago.
“I got asked to go on MAFS before The Bachelor and I said, ‘Absolutely not’,” he spilled. OMG!
“It was just an Instagram message from someone and for me, it was just never going to be something that I could do. It works for some people, but I wanted to meet someone.”
Jimmy’s Confession PROVES Married at First Sight Producers Scout Contestants
Jimmy’s admission confirms long-running speculation that MAFS producers scout contestants for the famed experiment.
As revealed in episode 155 of the So Dramatic! podcast, a production insider spilled to host Megan Pustetto that 2022 contestant Mitch Eynaud never even sought out a gig on Married at First Sight. Alternatively, he was hand-picked by producers!

The source spilled the tea to So Dramatic!, revealing that Mitch was scouted via Instagram.
His old account boasted 10k followers and producers obviously wanted to capitalise on his Instagram clout.
“They messaged him… telling him he should apply.”
According to the source, Mitch responded as everyone should if a shady producer slides into your DMs: “F*ck no!”
