As reported in episode 183 of the So Dramatic! podcast, this year, The Bachelor has taken on a new format.

New changes include introducing THREE Bachies, Fantasy Suite, flash dates and a brand-spanking-new mansion.

Of course, with a new format comes a slightly different casting audition and we’ve got all the juicy intel!

The contract the candidates sign is iron-clad

As we alluded to before, the contract The Bachelors candidates sign is pretty strict.

So Dramatic! Daily podcast

According to this sneaky So Dramatic! spy, once you “get through to meet the producers, the contract they make you sign is f*cking insane”.

Dishing that filming was from May to July in 2022, our source also revealed that the casting team also gave them insight into what to expect from the new season.

“The casting ladies said they’re completely revamping it this year because the last few years have been a drag,” our spy said. And boy were they accurate!

What happened during The Bachelors Australia 2023 group auditions?

It’s a well-known fact that group auditions are held because casting directors need to see how well you play with the other kids.

Obviously, having confidence will get you noticed, but don’t forget that they’re looking for wifeys too — so being relatively normal is OK as well…

According to another So Dramatic! source, her group audition featured some larger-than-life characters!

“There were some big personalities in there,” they revealed. “I can see [they] will be bringing up lots of drama if they’re on the show.” Tash Candyce, dat you?!

Now, this is where sh*t gets a little WILD because this source came through with another update a few weeks later.

“I, unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) didn’t make it any further,” our source said. “It was a really weird audition. They put us in groups and got us to create a mini dance routine.”

According to our spy, the casting team also had “laminated photos of male celebrities stuck on rulers” and the candidates had to choose which of the men they were most attracted to.

“They then gave us a song that we had to make our routines to and [told us we] had to incorporate our ‘man’ in the routine.” Umm….wut?!

Apparently, the options of celebs were: Zayn Malik, Idris Elba, Machine Gun Kelly, Pharrell, Ryan Reynolds and Channing Tatum. And if any of these fellas were the actual Bachie, we’d be signing the hell up!

“One group did the WAP dance. Was wild!” the source added.

Wild indeed!

Other contestants CONFIRM bizarre The Bachelors audition process

One potential contestant slid into our DMs after our OG tea-spilling sesh about the audition process, confirming the bonkers activities they were put through.

As reported in episode 247 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the source “can confirm everything [we] were told is true”.

“I was also in The Bachelor audition on the Gold Coast and got through to the meeting producers’ part,” they said. “I was told to dress for lunch with the girls [and] to prepare a truthful ‘would I lie to you’ type story.”

However, that changed once she got to the meet-and-greet.

“When I was in the audition, I was asked to lie and say that I lived comfortably off OnlyFans and the other girls had to guess whether I was lying.”

The insider added: “Defs was a WAP dance at the audition too.”

They also confessed they had to partake in a “lengthy psych exam” prior to meeting producers.

One applicant was led to believe they’d been cast in The Bachelors before being ditched last minute

Another applicant revealed to host Megan Pustetto that the casting process was all over the shop.

“How’s this for some goss: I was led to believe I was cast for Bach, signed an eight-page casting consent form, was required to do a medical and a psych [test], sent in all my personal documents.

“Then a week from filming was told I would find out for sure in the coming days (I’m a professional with a full-time job in finance, I’m not sure how anyone can just tell their work a few days out they’ll need the next three months off).”

One contestant said she had signed contracts to appear on The Bachelors before being notified she had not made the cut. Source: Ten.

However, some days later, she received “an official email” saying she hadn’t been successful — AFTER filming had already begun.

“Anyway, it’s for the best, looks like I dodged not one but three bullets,” they confessed. Hear, hear!

The potential suitor was confused as to why producers cut her from the lineup after “they seemed very keen”.

“Warner Brothers get your sh*t together.”
