Married at First Sight Australia 2022 groom Mitch Eynaud may have a right to be skeptical about the experiment after it was discovered he didn’t exactly sign up for the show.

The 26-year old has spent most of his airtime slamming the series, even going as far as to basically tell MAFS expert John Aitkin that he’s a sham. TBH, he’s not entirely wrong.

Now, as revealed in episode 155 of the So Dramatic! podcast, an insider spilled to host Megan Pustetto that Mitch never even sought out a gig on Married at First Sight. Alternatively, he was scouted by producers!

Does Channel Nine think this is Love Island or something? WTAF?

The source spilled the tea to So Dramatic!, revealing that Mitch was scouted via Instagram.

His old account boasted 10k followers and producers obviously wanted to capitalise on his Instagram clout.

“They messaged him… telling him he should apply.”

According to the source, Mitch responded as everyone should if a shady producer slides into your DMs: “F*ck no!”

Mitch Eynaud Initially Backed Out Of Married at First Sight

We don’t know what the MAFS producers offered Mitch in order to convince him to take part in the experiment, but he eventually folded and agreed to do the show.

However, he backflipped on his choice just weeks before he was supposed to tie the knot with Ella Ding.

We all know Mitch is a *shy guy* and TBH, the prospect of embarrassing yourself on national TV is f*cking terrifying. So, fair enough, we say.

“Mitch actually backed out of the wedding a couple of weeks beforehand because he did not want to do it,” the source said. “[Producers] begged him to do it. His mates then convinced him and said it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Ah, nothing like some words of wisdom from da boiz…

The source added that Mitch had never watched the show, had no idea what it was, or what he was getting himself into. Hence, he was naive AF going into it.

We Now Know Why Mitch Eynaud Made Ella Ding Feel Insecure During Their MAFS Marriage

Given that Mitch was scouted for MAFS and hadn’t actively been seeking out *love* on the show, it is fair that his partner Ella would have some questions. As do we.

Firstly, WTF was that dinner party tirade against your bride, and secondly, how dare you make Queen Ella feel like anything less than a Goddess?

The source confirmed that, as seen during the recent Commitment Ceremony, Mitch made her feel really insecure at times. They added that she had concerns that he wasn’t into her and wasn’t on the show for the right reasons.

Of course, this stemmed from the fact that Mitch was scouted and hadn’t applied for the show as Ella had.

According to the insider, Ella “never felt good enough [and] felt [Mitch] was too good looking for her”.

Ella, girl. Have you looked in the mirror? You’re a literal 12/10.

Mitch Was a Model Prior to Appearing On Married at First Sight

Prior to his reluctant stint on Married at First Sight, Mitchy Mitch (get it, like Marky Mark) was actually a professional model.

As reported in episode 155 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Mitch was spotted by a member of the Drama Army who came across some of his EPIC modelling pics while shopping.

“Came across this guy whilst shopping online,” the source wrote.

They then sent two photos of Mitch from the campaign, modelling two shirts that would be perfect for a full moon party in Thailand.

Good lord, Mitch. If being a reality star doesn’t work out….
