Married at First Sight Australia 2022 is not the first time Anthony Cincotta has struck out because of reality TV, in fact, Selin Mengu’s groom applied for another dating show — First Dates Australia.
While we would have LOVED to see him bumble his way through an episode in the series, Anthony never made it past the casting process.
As reported in episode 155 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the 38-year-old wanted to be on the series for reeeeally genuine reasons.
“He previously applied and went through the casting process for First Dates,” a source close to Anthony revealed. “He said he wanted to do it for the exposure and his ‘career’.” WuT aBoUT lOvE, ANTHONY?!
Why Did Anthony Go on Married at First Sight Australia?
Given he was on MAFS, it would be safe to assume Anthony hasn’t had the best luck with love.
“I have dated a lot of people in the scene. You know, other performers,” he admitted during his audition for the show.
These performers apparently included “circus performers and burlesque dancers.”
“I’m looking for someone who is a natural beauty,” he explained. “Not someone with those huge eyelashes that could cut you in half, and all the bullsh*t that goes with it”. Charming. Sorry that Selin wasn’t it for you, bro!
Which Shows Did Other Married at First Sight Australia 2022 Contestants Apply For?
Turns out MAFS wasn’t controversial groom Andrew Davis‘ first rodeo either.
It has also been revealed that he applied for not only this show but SAS Australia AND Elly and Becky Miles’ season of The Bachelorette. Seems a little desperado if you ask us! Wonder if he’s regretting it…
Hmm, reality stars not in it for love?! Well, I never!!
