Married at First Sight Australia’s Brent Vitiello has given an insight to the gift that keeps on giving…and giving…and giving…the feud between Olivia Frazer and Domenica Calarco.
During an interview in episode 159 of the So Dramatic! podcast AFTERMAFS series, Brent revealed what team he was actually on.
“All right, now I’m going, to be honest,” he told host Megan Pustetto. “I was very neutral when it happened. We’d [the grooms] just come from having so much fun and then [we were] hearing this drama story and we were all heavily invested in Olivia’s story.”
According to the groom, everyone took Olivia’s side at first, because she had embellished the truth so much, however, it wasn’t until later that he spoke to Ella Ding, when he found out the truth.
“She said, ‘well, that’s not what happened. There was no swinging of it [the wine glass].”
Brent then revealed that while watching back with the rest of the country, it was clear that Olivia’s story didn’t check out.
“The rest of it from then on, is actually very hard to watch.”
Married at First Sight’s Brent Reveals that the Feud Is Still Ongoing
“I don’t think that’s ever going to end,” Brent later revealed.
During the chat, Megan asked why Brett was at a viewing party with Olivia and not Domenica, saying that she thought she was now closer with Jack Millar’s wife.
“Yeah, but it wasn’t about that,” he explained. “Not at all. Everyone was invited as an opener. I don’t know whether she [Domenica] could make it. I don’t think it was anything bigger.”
The Reason Jackson and Olivia are Still Together
It’s no secret that Married at First Sight’s golden couple, Jackson and Olivia, are still together — and Brent is not really surprised.
“Look, they’ve got their own life to live,” Brent said. “and I don’t think they’re going to let that be a judgement on their relationship. A lot of it was hard to watch and it’s a shame to see people the way they did. Each to their own, but together they are great.”
After Megan asked if they weren’t letting the outside “drama” affect them, Brett said: “No. no they’re not.
Brent Is Still Very Close to MAFS Co-Star Jackson Lonie
While he may not be on good terms with Olivia, Brent has a lot of time for Jackson Lonie — her groom.
“[We’re] very close,” he said.
“Very close. During the experiment, I even go to him for advice. He’s such a calming, grounded guy. When you’re anxious and when you’re in a deep spot, you can’t think properly for yourself, I used to go to Jackson. We all have that rock that you lean on.”
Brent was also very impressed by Jackson and they he handled the situation with Olivia, telling her that her behaviour was unacceptable.
“He was so articulate and so respectful and he knows what he’s doing. He’s a real man. I look up to him too. He’s a good guy, he really is and that’s not a show at all.”
