Strap on your tool belts, because The Block is returning for 2026 with a new location, and we’ve got all the deets.
Hosted by Scott Cam and Shelley Craft, the upcoming series promises fresh challenges, stunning renovations, and moments that will have fans on the edge of their seats.

From returning fan favourites to whispers of celebrity contestants, there’s plenty to keep viewers buzzing.
While the theme and cast are still under wraps, one thing’s certain: The Block 2026 will deliver all the drama, tears, and jaw-dropping transformations fans live for. Yaas!
Where is The Block 2026 taking place?
The Block is taking its renovations to the coast this time around. The 22nd season is set at an $11 million development site in the stunning bayside suburb of Mount Eliza.
Just over an hour from Melbourne, Mount Eliza is the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula, offering the perfect mix of coastal charm and convenient city access.
This picturesque hotspot is renowned for its secluded beaches, including Canadian Bay and Ranelagh Beach. It also boasts a tight-knit community, featuring boutique shops, cafes, and gourmet grocers.
A family-friendly suburb with a predominantly homeowner population, Mount Eliza is known for its generous blocks of land. In other words, it’s the ultimate setting for another epic season of The Block.
Who is competing on The Block 2026?
In September, the hit renovation show issued a casting call, recruiting new contestants for the upcoming season.
However, rumours have been circling that 2025 stars Emma and Ben have been eyeing a comeback.

“Mount Eliza is like, five minutes from where we live,” Emma told Yahoo Lifestyle.
“So yeah, we’re going to be hanging around like a bad smell. They’ll be like, ‘Em and Ben, you guys are so last year!’
“But we would [return]. I think it would be a lot easier if you were going back for a round two. You’d know how the makeup of The Block worked. You’d know how to finish a room in a week. It would be a breeze.”
Rumours circulate that a celebrity edition of The Block is in the works
Word on the street is that a celebrity edition of The Block is in the works, with fans speculating it could take place during the 2026 season. Ooh!
According to The Herald Sun, producers have been approaching big-name talent for the potential spin-off, with auction proceeds expected to benefit charity.

At the top of the list have been comedy duo Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, Olympic legend Cathy Freeman, and various Married at First Sight alumni.
While dream names like Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli have been floated internally, insiders have admitted those stars are unlikely to sign on.
Little else has been revealed about the new season, but as always, we’ll be keeping our eyes and ears peeled!
