Big Brother Australia’s Layla Subritzky performed her iconic Oats a la Layla at the live finale on July 12.

But if you don’t remember seeing this legendary Big Brother moment recreated live on-air a decade later, you’re not alone – it wasn’t shown on live TV (too much time wasted on Drully, perhaps?).

Luckily, one fan at the live event filmed the rendition and oh my god, it brought us straight back 2012.

Layla Subritzky Performed Oats a la Layla For The Live Audience at the Big Brother Australia Finale

In the shaky TikTok footage, Layla was given the microphone by the audience hype guy (you know, the dude that gets people to cheer at the correct times).

Layla danced on the spot while performing Oats a la Layla, with OG and newbie housemates joining in on the chorus.

@alongcamebonnie The best part of the @bigbrotherau finale that didn’t air on tv at all @laylasubritzky and the housemates singing oats oh a Layla so wished this could of been shown on tv. Thank you to @gabe0fthrones for this video all credit for this video goes to him. #bbau #bbfinale #laylasubritzky #oatsohalayla #bigbrother ♬ original sound – Alongcamebonnie

Her fellow 2012 runner-up Estelle Landy must have the entire song seared into her memory (same tho), singing along from the very start.

Why is Big Brother Australia’s Viral Song Oats a la Layla Still Famous a Decade Later?

A whopping 10 years ago, the song became an early viral sensation when Australia became obsessed with a faux music video that she made with her housemates on the show.

You could have never watched a full episode of Big Brother and have still found yourself humming Oats a la Layla while making your morning porridge.

This year, winner Reggie Bird tried to launch her own challenge-related bop, We’re Gonna Roll The Dice, but it didn’t have quite the same impact. Honestly, Oats a la Layla just hits different.
