If you thought that Tamara Djordjevic‘s reaction to Brent Vitiello calling her “Mrs Vitiello” was cooked, just wait until you hear about the drama that DIDN’T make it to air during the Married at First Sight Australia 2022 Couples Retreat.
During an interview in episode 159 of the So Dramatic! podcast AFTERMAFS series, Brent revealed that he and his TV wife had a hectic blow-up that got lost on the cutting room floor.
“There was a lot that didn’t get shown,” Brent said. “We got into a lot of heated arguments from day one that kind of came out of nowhere.”
What Started the Argument That Didn’t Make it to Air During the MAFS Couples Retreat?
According to the restaurant manager, Brent had found a nice room for the couple at the $6,000 a night retreat, however, Tamara wanted to move into the guest house with Jack Millar and Domenica Calarco.
Brent agreed to the change and as they were “getting ready and having fun and having a laugh” out of nowhere his bride dropped a bombshell.
“Tamara kind of said to me, ‘I don’t think I want to stay with you tonight, don’t get annoyed.’
“I said, ‘What do you mean? I came back to this part of the place because you wanted me to.'”
Tamara’s reasoning was that she thought “they just wanted to party” — weird flex, but OK.
“It started from there and it was all downhill. I don’t know what the real reason was,” he said.
Tamara Was “Screaming” at Brent During the Couples Retreat
Before the Couple’s Retreat episode aired, a promo showed Tamara screaming at Brent — however, it never aired.
“When I was drinking the water, she was screaming at me,” Brent said. “It was no surprise — I won’t go into detail — but that’s why I was so defeated. My only escape was time with the boys and just trying to enjoy the environment.”
What They Did Show at the Last Dinner Party, Was Not Exactly What Happened
According to Brent, what they did show at the last dinner party “was not exactly what happened”.
“I just wanted to find a middle-ground because we could not stop fighting,” Brent said.
“So, I just went, ‘look, I know we’re not going to see eye-to-eye now, so why don’t we just meet halfway and see where each other is coming from, calm down, but that conversation ended with her yelling on top of her lungs standing over me. It was brutal.”
“Everyone was staring and it was really bad, so that’s where you see me sit on the side, on the ledge and the boys came over.”
“Our consensus was, that she was just looking for a way out at the time.”
