Several Married at First Sight Australia 2025 participants have lost their jobs as a result of the infamous marriage experiment.

Heading into MAFS, the cast of the 12th season boasted job titles in the likes of entrepreneurs, account managers, lawyers and teachers.

Now, there’s no denying that a vast majority of the participants go into the show with high hopes of becoming influencers.

However, as reported in episode 517 of the So Dramatic! podcast, several cast members haven’t had the success they sought.

In fact, some have been left jobless, while others are changing tack to stay on their feet.

So, which Married at First Sight 2025 participants are without jobs post-show?

Jacqui Burfoot

MAFS 2025 chaotic queen Jacqui Burfoot may have brought the drama, but it seems her controversial behaviour has majorly impacted her career.

Ahead of the show, her bio said she worked as a consultant, plus detailed gigs as a model, yoga instructor and business owner. And that’s not even touching on the countless careers she claimed to have while on the show!

However, Jacqui previously told Sky News that she was unable to continue in her role at a legal recruitment agency in Sydney.

According to the TV bride, she “wasn’t medically capable” of working due to being “mentally distressed” as a result of the show.

Despite this, her jewellery business’s social media has boomed to over 50,000 followers. Wowza!

Meanwhile, she dished So Dramatic! that she and co-star-turned-bae Clint Rice are also working on “a golf and tennis apparel line”.

Not to mention, Jacqui is currently in the top fifty Cameo creators worldwide, and has allegedly earned a whopping $10,000 on the site by making personalised video messages. Not bad!

Ryan Donnelly

As for Jacqui’s TV husband Ryan Donnelly, his post-MAFS career as a project manager has been left in the dust.

He was reportedly forced to resign from the role to film the show. However, has been unable to secure full-time employment since wrapping up filming.

As reported by So Dramatic!, Ryan is working casually while pursuing a sought-after acting career.

Tim Gromie

After leaving MAFS early on in the piece, lots of tea has been brewing about Tim Gromie‘s teaching career.

As exclusively revealed in episode 446 of the So Dramatic!, Tim’s involvement in the marriage experiment cost him his teaching job.

This was backed up by Tim’s groomsman Luke, who said his controversial wedding to Katie Johnstone was the nail in the coffin for his career.

However, episode 500 revealed that Tim has managed to find himself another job as a primary school PE teacher in Victoria.

Paul Antoine

French groom Paul Antoine quickly went from ooh la la to oh, hell nah after several concerning displays on the show, including, but not limited to, punching a door in anger and talking sh*t about bae Carina Mirabile behind her back.

As such, it’s no surprise that he recently resigned from his job as a wellness advisor in a Western Australian mine.

Paul confirmed this in episode 499 of the So Dramatic! podcast. However, he claimed it was “not because of MAFS“.

“After doing FIFO for five years, it was time for me to walk away,” he said.

Adrian Araouzou

Adrian Araouzou also appears to have taken a career hit post-MAFS.

Before the experiment, his occupation was listed as an E-commerce business owner, where he was selling sports bags.

However, social accounts for the business have been inactive this year. Plus, the dessert account Sweet Sundayz, which he ran with former bestie Jasmin Weston, has also been completely wiped after the pair’s falling out.

A source has since told So Dramatic! that Adrian currently “doesn’t have a job” and is “couch surfing” at co-star Eliot Donovan‘s house.

“He was really expecting his businesses to take off and become a full-time influencer, but it’s clear that’s not going to happen now,” the insider said.

Welp, play stupid games, win stupid prizes!

Eliot Donovan

Speaking of Eliot, he actually seems to be thriving after his stint on Married at First Sight.

One close friend tells So Dramatic! that the groom is a “part-owner of a gym in Sri Lanka”.

“He also has his own planning/drafting company for interior designs,” they added. Go off, multi-faceted king!

Since MAFS, Eliot has also been working casually as a labourer and going gangbusters on his TikTok account.

Sierah Swepstone

Ahead of appearing on MAFS, The Bachelor star-turned-TV bride Sierah Swepstone was allegedly working as a financial associate advisor.

Sources have since dished to So Dramatic! that she’s currently unemployed, but this isn’t a result of her controversial actions on the show.

“Sierah was unemployed when she signed up for MAFS. The title they gave her for her bio was just a smokescreen,” they said.

“She hasn’t been a financial associate or planner or whatever the hell it was for ages. Since before The Bachelor.”

Jamie Marino

Married at First Sight 2025‘s outspoken bride Jamie Marinos has also switched up on her career since the show.

Despite working as an account manager prior to her foray onto national telly, So Dramatic! has since learned she no longer works in that position.

Nowadays, Jamie “works a few hours on the weekend as a bottle girl/booth b*tch” at The Emerson in Melbourne.

“She went on MAFS with her sights set on becoming a full-time influencer and media personality… [She] has pretty much been waiting around for the show to finish airing and she gets her accounts back,” one source revealed.

“That’s why she didn’t try to get back to her professional job as she wants to be available for whatever opportunities may come her way after the show.”

We guess the experiment isn’t all it’s cracked up to be after all…
