This bitter ending was no surprise, as the pair have both been engaging in a scathing tit-for-tat on their backup Instagram accounts throughout the season.

However, as revealed in episode 521 of the So Dramatic! podcast, their messy off-screen drama has now made its way to the courtroom.

Why did Married at First Sight‘s Jacqui Burfoot request a restraining order against Ryan Donnelly?

According to The Canberra Times, Jacqui and her co-star-turned-boyfriend Clint Rice attended court in Tasmania on March 31 for the second time to lodge a complaint about comments Ryan allegedly made about her online.

Jacqui also claimed that his alleged conduct had escalated. She complained specifically about an interview Ryan did where he discussed her claims that he made a problematic joke during filming, which So Dramatic! has covered in episode 466.

Magistrate Sharon Cure granted an interim order stipulating that Ryan cannot “directly or indirectly threaten, harass, abuse or publish on social media denigrating material”.
