Married at First Sight Australia 2025‘s Jacqui Burfoot has issued a statement regarding news that her TV husband Ryan Donnelly has applied for an Apprehended Violence Order (AVO) against her.
Jacqui and Ryan had the most tumultuous MAFS marriage, perhaps to date, with it all coming to an explosive end during their Final Vows.
However, their disdain for each other quickly made it onto social media, and as revealed in episode 521 of the So Dramatic! podcast, it’s now made its way to the courtroom.

Per The Canberra Times, Jacqui and her co-star-turned-boyfriend Clint Rice attended court in Tasmania on March 31. It was there that she was granted an interim order.
This stipulated that Ryan cannot “directly or indirectly threaten, harass, abuse or publish on social media denigrating material”.
Things have since taken a turn, with Daily Mail Australia reporting that Ryan applied for his own personal violence order against Jacqui at a Campbelltown court.
The outlet claimed that Ryan had applied for an AVO. However, as explained in episode 523 of the So Dramatic! podcast, an AVO can only be issued by the police.
A personal violence order sought via a court is called a PVO.
Ryan’s application is due for mention on April 23.

In a statement to So Dramatic!, Jacqui said she was yet to be contacted about Ryan’s personal violence order.
“He may have applied for one, but no AVO has been served against me from Ryan… He currently does not have an AVO against me.
“It is fake news.”
