The Golden Bachelor Australia is casting single seniors looking for another shot at love, so if you have a parent (or grandparent) ready to find The One, look no further!
In August, it was revealed that a Bachelor for single seniors would be coming to Australia’s Channel Nine after the series received massive ratings in the US.
On October 26, a casting call for the Samantha Armytage fronted series was posted in a Facebook Group. The casting producer who made the post revealed that they are searching for 55 to 75-year-olds looking for the “last great love of [their] lives”. Aww!

“I’d love help finding someone in their golden years, perhaps a single parent or grandparent who deserves one more shot at their happily ever after,” the casting producer wrote.
They then urged people to sign up or nominate their loved ones.
What else do we know about The Golden Bachelor Australia?
The Bachelor for single seniors was first introduced in the US in 2023. It followed Gerry Turner, 72, on his quest for love and won over the hearts of American reality TV fans.
And now, Australia’s rendition of the hit show will be coming to Nine in 2025.

And it’s a far cry from the OG version of the show. In November 2023, the Daily Mail revealed that The Golden Bachelor would move away from the drama the OG franchise is famous for.
“They’re setting the stage for a show that’s less about high-drama antics and more about genuine connection and companionship,” one insider dished. And it sounds refreshing!
