Fans have suggested a surprising new location for future seasons of The Block before begging the show to feature smaller properties.
Of the 20 seasons of the hit renovation series, four were filmed in New South Wales, while the other 16 were set in Victoria.
As such, some fans have called for a change of scenery, with one viewer taking to Reddit to suggest a huge shakeup.

“I hope The Block goes somewhere else. Melbourne and Sydney are played out,” they wrote.
They then suggested that the show purchase a “nice set of homes” in Queensland on the Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast or South Australia’s Adelaide. Ooh!
“[The homes would] probably sell for as much as Melbourne. But I can imagine they wouldn’t be too keen on having to entirely re-set up their logistics and sponsor setup for that far away,” they added.
Fans beg for The Block to ‘go SMALLER’ in future seasons
Many viewers took to the comments section, stating they’d love the show to purchase smaller properties that are more accessible to potential buyers.
“I hope they go small again,” one user wrote. “Nothing like a show saturated with palatial space and endless budget to show its audience what they can never achieve!”
Another agreed, commenting: “The biggest problem is the scale. They need to return to self-contained buildings instead of these stupid big spaces that nobody can afford.”

Fans plead for The Block to make it more accessible for ‘normal people’
A third added that they’d like to see the show do something for low-income workers or first-home buyers.
“I know the idea of the show is to make as much money as possible, but maybe they could incentivise in another way, such as the government getting involved in subsidising and inviting All Stars back for a fee rather than a pro.”
And we love the sound of that!
A fourth user pointed out that “normal people” in “other areas of the country” would jump at the chance to buy a The Block home if the show left Victoria.
It comes after The Block confirmed that the 2025 season would be filmed in Victoria’s Daylesford after the previous plans to film there were scrapped.
