The Block 2024‘s Mimi Belperio reportedly “begged” producers not to air her harsh reaction to her husband Kristian crying.
During the October 8 episode, Kristian had a breakdown due to the stress of “Hellway Week”, A.K.A Hallway Week, causing him to storm off and cry.
However, upon seeing her husband in tears, Mimi told him he couldn’t “react like that” before calling his reaction “f*cking embarrassing“.
“Crying when you’re happy is fine, but crying when you’re sad is like, be a man. Eat some concrete. It’s a bit embarrassing,” she said.
The Block’s Mimi was ‘TERRIFIED’ of receiving a bad edit
One insider told Yahoo Lifestyle that Mimi “begged” producers not to air her cold reaction to Kristian’s breakdown.
They explained that it was because she was “terrified” of copping a bad edit after reports circulated that they were tipped to be “villains”. And it’s giving damage control!
“Mimi felt set up and believed producers wanted to break her and portray her like this all along,” the insider dished.
“She begged producers not to show the epic row with her husband, but it has gone to air, and she’s allegedly disappointed that producers left this meltdown in the edit.” Yikes.
According to the source, Mimi tried to “make up for [her] unfair attack on Kristian”.
“Fans won’t forget that outburst. It will be interesting to see how the public reacts to her moving forward,” they added.
And unless she has an EPIC hero arc, we’re not sure viewers will change their minds about her…
It comes after the couple told TV WEEK that “Hellway Week” was the “ultimate marriage test“.
