I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia 2024 winner Skye Wheatley has denied she was the potential new host of Love Island Australia.
In September, it was reported that Skye—who rose to fame on Big Brother in 2014—was “first in line” to replace Sophie Monk as the dating show’s host.
“The idea was floated that Skye could slip in and take over Love Island. Executives believed Skye could do a very similar job to Sophie,” an insider told Daily Mail.

However, the outlet claimed Skye recently “lost out” on the gig because of her recent trip to Turkey, where she underwent a series of cosmetic surgeries.
These included canthoplasty, commonly known as a fox eye lift, liposuction, blepharoplasty, and temporal lift.
“This whole idea [of Skye hosting Love Island] came crashing down as the network noticed she’d drastically changed her look, which turned Nine off the idea to cast her,” the source said. And we won’t even get into how gross that mentality is…
What did Skye Wheatley say about the Love Island Australia hosting rumours?
Despite these reports, Skye has denied she was ever in the running to replace Sophie.
“Were you supposed to be the host of Love Island?” a fan asked the mum-of-two during an Instagram Q&A.
“No it was clickbait!” she replied.

Skye’s denial comes after she shared a quote on her Story that seemed to hint that she had been dropped from the dating show.
“Rejection is redirection,” it read.

And say it louder for the people in the back!
