Married at First Sight Australia 2022‘s Holly Greenstein has addressed why she refused to serve a customer at her work because she was “on her period”.

On June 18, a video of the former TV bride circulated on TikTok after she refused a mother and her 10-year-old child entry at the cinema where she works, stating it was because she was “on her period”.

Fans took to the comments section, claiming there HAD to be more to the story. And now, Holly has confirmed that things weren’t as they seemed.

The reality star told So Dramatic! that the customer in question tried to bring food into the cinema, which they weren’t allowed to do.

“My boss told them to eat it before they went in. Immediately they started elevating at my boss, I walked away because I wanted nothing to do with it, I let my boss handle it,” Holly recalled.

However, the disgruntled customer asked Holly where the terms and conditions were and why they were being denied entry.

“They were being refused entry because they were abusing my boss. It wasn’t even about the food at this point,” the former MAFS star continued.

“They then said something along the lines of: ‘I think you’re not letting us in for a reason. Do you have your period today? Or what if you’re emotional?’.”

As Holly walked away to serve other people, she said that the disgruntled customer “kept following her”.

“She asked again: ‘Why won’t you let us in?’, and I replied: ‘Oh, well, apparently because I’ve got my period. Isn’t that what you said?’.” And it all makes sense now!

Holly also submitted surveillance footage from the incident in question to So Dramatic!, showing the events play out.

In the video, the customer appeared to be arguing with Holly, stating that she couldn’t deny her entry merely because she “felt like it”.

“You’re taking it personally. You can’t refuse someone entry because of your emotions. What if you’ve got your period today? What if you’re emotional?” she said. At that point, Holly looked at her boss in disbelief.

And there you have it, folks!
