Another one of our favourite Aussie reality TV shows, SAS Australia, has reportedly been axed. At this rate, there will be nothing left for us to watch.
A number of popular Aussie TV programmes have recently been cancelled, including The Bachelor Australia and The Masked Singer Australia.
Despite Seven announcing a new season of SAS Australia, Daily Mail Australia has revealed that the special forces series had since been canned.
Sources from SAS Australia‘s production company, Screentime, told the outlet that casting discussions had already taken place for the 2024 season.
However, negotiations between Seven and Screentime had “fizzled out”, making it unclear whether the Ant Middleton-fronted show would return to our screens.
Despite this, the outlet says fans can expect SAS Australia to be revived in the future. So maybe it’s not a revoir for the franchise just yet.
“Channel Nine have shown interest in picking up the show for 2025,” the source dished. And if this is true, we can’t wait for a new era of SAS!
