Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Ellie Dix has QUIT her job after her workplace was targeted by trolls following her controversial stint on the marriage experiment.

After secretly texting each other behind Lauren Dunn‘s back, Ellie and Jonathan McCullough debuted their relationship during the two-part Reunion, which rubbed fans the wrong way.

As a result, disgruntled viewers trolled Ellie’s workplace, The Coastal Clinic Plastic Surgery Practice, leaving a flock of one-star reviews and “threatening” staff with “abusive phone calls”.

Now, Ellie’s bio has been removed from the team page on the practice’s website.

In the comments section of a recent Instagram post, the former bride confirmed that she’d “left her injecting job” on her own accord.

Owner Dr Drew Cronin also told the Gold Coast Bulletin he’d never fire Ellie over something she’d done “in her personal life”, adding that she provided “excellent service”.

The reality star had worked as a cosmetic injector for the Varsity Lakes clinic for over a year.

Married at First Sight‘s Ellie Dix debuts surprising new career move

After leaving her former job, it looks like Ellie’s using her newfound fame to launch a career as a travel influencer.

On May 23, the 32-year-old took to Instagram to announce she was embarking on a road trip around Australia with her bae, Jonathan.

“On Monday, Jono & I picked up our home @luxury_caravan_hire, and for the next couple of months, we’re making our way around Australia,” she wrote to Instagram, sharing that they’d already caught up with co-star Timothy Smith during their travels.

Fans flooded the comments section, asking how the duo could afford their trip given they’d taken time off work.

“I went back to work [after MAFS] and now have left my injecting job and taken leave from my hospital job for a few months to go travelling with Jono,” Ellie clarified.

“I’ll be back to work in September. Jono works remotely – makes it easy for him to travel!” Must be nice!
