I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia 2024‘s Denise Drysdale has addressed rumours she has an ongoing feud with the show’s host, Julia Morris.
When Aussie national treasure Denise entered the South African jungle, allegations emerged that she and Julia had a frosty relationship after appearing on Nine’s In Melbourne Tonight programme from 1996 to 1997.
“Julia was starting out in television and Denise felt she wasn’t grateful enough of the advice she was giving,” an alleged former Channel Nine producer told Daily Mail Australia.
“It was a personality clash from day one.”
Denise has since been eliminated from the I’m a Celebrity jungle and has broken her silence on what she says is “total bullcrap”.
“I really don’t know where it came from. It’s pointless, it’s not true and it’s just put such a negative spin on things,” she told Yahoo! Lifestyle.
“That’s why I don’t like media today. They want the negative. Let’s just dwell on the positives. We’ve got Donald Trump and [Vladimir] Putin. We don’t need any other negatives.” Amen!
Denise Drysdale says she ‘admires’ I’m a Celebrity host Julia Morris
The top comedian and media personality added that she’s a big fan of Julia‘s work, having seen her “on and off” since they worked together in the nineties.
“I admire her because she went overseas and did all these courses, and I think she went and did improv and all those things,” Denise admitted. “She was really serious about her career and I admired that, it’s something I never did.
“I think she’s terrific. I think Robert [Irwin] with her on the show, they just blend, and it’s fabulous.”
Denise debunking feud rumours comes after an insider said Ten had to enact some “very strategic planning” to have her and Julia on I’m a Celebrity together.
