I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia host Julia Morris has spilled some deets about her new co-host after Chris Brown left the show.

The celebrity vet not only quit the jungle-based reality series, but Network Ten too, having reportedly taken up a very lucrative offer with Channel Seven.

Of course, this has left fans of I’m a Celebrity to question who could fill the shoes he’s been sporting since 2015.

Appearing at an event for the 2023 Logie Award nominations, Julia revealed that her next partner-in-crime is yet to be cast.

Chatting to Yahoo! Lifestyle, Julia admitted that she’s still “very sad” that Chris moved on from the show.

However, she’s “excited” to be working alongside a new friendly face.

“I’m excited for the new adventure of what is in store, I don’t know who that’s going to be yet,” she explained.

“We start chemistry testing pretty soon with a number of different people — not even a number of different people, I think there’s kind of a party of six.”

Julia added: “From there we’ll just work out where that best chemistry is and start a new adventure.”

Julia Morris is prepared to ‘leave the past behind’ for future seasons of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Noting that it’s going to be strange to film I’m a Celebrity “in a completely different way” moving forward, Julia understands that she has to “leave everything of the past behind”.

“Whoever comes in is going to want to build that together,” she acknowledged. “So there’s plenty of space for that person, we’re just looking forward to finding out who that’s going to be.”

Julia then confessed that she has a “total dream pick” for her future co-host. However, she doesn’t want to speak their name in case it doesn’t happen.

“But whoever that person is is going to have a huge effect on whether I’m working over the next few years, so I want it to work,” she admitted.

It was announced on June 19 that Julia is nominated for the coveted Gold Logie award for the second year in a row. She’s also up for the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter.

Meanwhile, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! has been nominated for Most Popular Reality Program and Most Outstanding Reality Program, which it won last year.
