We know why psychic medium Madeleine Maxwell (previously known as Madeleine Jevic) didn’t attend the Married at First Sight Australia 2024 Reunion.
Part one of the highly anticipated Reunion was chaotic AF, from leaving Sara Mesa and Tim Calwell‘s relationship in shambles to Ellie Dix‘s out-of-pocket attack on Lauren Dunn.
However, despite the insanity, participant Madeleine’s absence didn’t go unnoticed among viewers.

“So where is Madeleine?” one fan penned on X (formerly known as Twitter), while another said they were “guessing Ash [Galati] and Madeleine aren’t going to make an appearance”.
While her TV husband Ash eventually did show up, sources told So Dramatic! that the former Home and Away actress wanted to appear. However, producers made it increasingly difficult
Married at First Sight producers ‘punished’ Madeleine for not complying with their rules
According to one insider, Madeleine “rang production and asked if she could attend”.
“She wanted to go,” they confirmed. “They had a conversation around her attending the Reunion under certain conditions, but Madeleine wouldn’t agree to their terms, so they told her she wasn’t allowed to go.”
Because of this, the source claimed producers proceeded to “punish her” by “stitching her up in the edit and making her look bat sh*t crazy“.
They also “silenced her by not giving her any of her photos for social media or any media interviews”.
“They have done an absolute number on her and have gaslit Australia into thinking she’s a nutter so that if she speaks out about what they actually did to her, she won’t be believed,” the insider continued. “It’s very orchestrated.
“They are getting on the front foot by totally discrediting her before she even has a chance to share the truth. They are getting revenge on her for not playing by their rules and are making her look crazy.”
Madeleine is ‘petrified’ of her reputation being ‘ruined’
The source added that Madeleine is a “wildcard in the sense that producers knew they couldn’t control her”.
“Maddy has been petrified. Channel Nine is a very powerful organisation, and the resources they have to ruin people’s reputations is terrifying,” they said.
Also addressing claims that Madeleine attempted to “produce” her own experience on the show, the insider said she was trying to prevent producers from “making her into a made-up character”.
“They wanted her to be a yogi and shoot at a yoga studio. She didn’t want to because that’s not her, she’s not a yoga medium,” they recalled. ‘They wanted her to be a fake version of herself.
“She was trying to produce actual reality instead of the make-believe stuff producers were trying to create.”
Sources close to Madeleine denies she wasn’t being invited to Married at First Sight Reunion
While Yahoo! Lifestyle reported after the Reunion episode aired that producers opted not to invite Madeleine out of fear her “unpredictability” could “derail” the show, a source close to the bride has denied this is the case.
“Madeleine was absolutely invited,” they told So Dramatic!. “She had a discussion around the show and why she was unable to make it.
“She wasn’t ever not invited… That’s a load of sh*t.”
They added that Madeleine mainly didn’t return “because she didn’t align with any part of their production process and what it meant to be a part of it”.
Details about Madeleine’s absence from the Reunion come after it was revealed her and Ash’s abrupt exit from the experiment came down to a “duty of care”.
