Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Tori Adams has claimed she was the one to make a couple swap joke about another groom.

ICYMI: The February 21 dinner party imploded after Lauren Dunn (who heard it from her hubby Jonathan McCullough) called out Jack Dunkley for allegedly telling his fellow grooms they could have sex with Tori should there be a couple swap exercise.

It was all kinds of cooked, with the dinner hitting fever pitch when Jack told Jonathan to “put a muzzle on your woman”.

When the experts questioned her about Jack’s proposition at the following Commitment Ceremony, Tori said the comment made her feel “physically sick”.

Now, Tori has alleged she was the one who made the hotly contested joke. And why didn’t she just clarify that in the first place?!

“The joke is a joke that I actually made, and it was a shared joke between myself, Tim [Calwell]and Jack,” the 27-year-old said during an appearance on Hit’s Pete & Kymba.

“The joke was that I said to Jack, ‘Tim’s real cute; hopefully, I get him in the Couple Swap if we do it’.

“That was the joke, and the way it was recited at the dinner table was not accurate.”

When asked by the programme’s host why she looked so upset when she originally heard the comment at the dining table, she put it all down to “the wild world of editing”.

However, that excuse isn’t flying with some of her co-stars, who recently called Tori out for blaming the edit on past occasions.

Married at First Sight’s Tori Adams regrets her comments towards Cassandra Allen at the dinner party

At the following dinner party, which aired on February 28, Tori and Timothy Smith faced off (again), which resulted in the bride telling her co-star he looked “smug”.

Cassandra Allen then called Tori out for nitpicking, and she went nuclear.

Talking about Cassandra in a producer-led interview, Tori described their place in the “food chain”.

“Small bites, babe, don’t come for the top. I’m sorry, there’s a f*cking food chain here, and you are not at the top. Shut up,” she said at the time.

However, Tori has since told Pete & Kymba that she “absolutely regrets” her words.

“I have apologised to Cass both at the time and as recent as yesterday, about last night,” she explained.

“That was towards the end of the night, and I had a lot of rage inside me, and, unfortunately, she just said the right thing at the right time, and I cracked.

“She’s beautiful, and I never should have spoken to her like that.

However, Tori wasn’t so remorseful when it came to the comments she made about Timothy.

She added, “Do I regret what I said to Timothy? Absolutely not!”

Cassandra Allen said she doesn’t hold Tori Adams’ behaviour against her

In a chat with Nine after the episode aired, Cassandra said she wasn’t “aware that she had infuriated [Tori] that much”.

“I didn’t see her private conversations until later,” she said. “I think Tori was just lashing out because she was feeling hurt.”

However, she did take issue with Tori calling Tristan Black a “sh*tty husband”.

“That was so unnecessary. I was really unimpressed, and Tristan is nothing but wonderful, of course,” Cassandra said.

Despite this, she doesn’t harbour any “anger or animosity” towards her co-star.

“That was one of the only times I didn’t agree with her behaviour in the group.”
