A former participant has shed light on Married at First Sight 2024‘s “freaky” scene with Tori Adams and Jack Dunkley after the Commitment Ceremony.
ICYMI: After the other couples had left the building following their couch grillings during the February 25 episode, Tori and Jack stayed behind — something we’ve never seen before on the show.
“WTF was that ending?” one fan questioned on X (formerly known as Twitter). WTF, indeed!

Luckily, Married at First Sight 2023 bride Melinda Willis was able to fill us in on how that bizarre scene might’ve come about.
Appearing on the So Dramatic! EXTRA podcast‘s AFTERMAFS series, Melinda said the “producers are just geniuses”.
“When you go in [to the Commitment Ceremony], you’ve got all these cameras that sit around and point at you all,” she explained. “But where the experts sit… Right next to us on the left is this hole in the wall, and there’s three cameras in there.”
Melinda said that they were able to see these cameras “if you really look at them”.
However, they often “forget they’re there because they’re kind of hidden”.

Tori and Jack were led to believe the Married at First Sight Commitment Ceremony had ended
According to Melinda, producers would have had all the cameras removed from the room and “someone starts to act like she’s cleaning” to give the impression that filming has concluded.
However, the remaining participants — A.K.A, Tori and Jack — would still be “wired up”.
“And those little three cameras are still there, facing right where they were told to sit,” she added, saying that producers “100 per cent” set up that scene between the couple.
During her season, Melinda said the participants were “never allowed to stay there and sit on those couches”.

“They obviously knew [Jack] would talk,” the 33-year-old continued.
When asked why the couple didn’t just leave, Melinda said they would have been told to wait to film “voxxies”. I.e., the individual interviews they have with producers on camera.
“You can see that Tori knows she’s still wired up,” the former TV bride admitted. “So she’s kind of like, ‘Jack, stop’.”
But TBH, Jack has never had a problem with talking sh*t on-camera, so why reel it in now, hey?!
