Insiders have spilled the tea on who Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s main characters and standout couples are.
Safe to say there are no surprises here!
As reported in episode 351 of the So Dramatic! podcast, glamour brides Lauren Dunn and Sara Mesa are tapped to be the most memorable participants of the 11th season.
Sources told host Megan Pustetto that the duo are the “life of the party” this season and are “driving up the drama factor every week”.
In fact, one insider spilled that Sara and Lauren were “praised by producers for making the show” as they weren’t “afraid of confrontation”.
“They were always involved in drama and the most outspoken brides. Most of the show revolves around them,” they explained.
Apparently, fans won’t be 100 per cent sold on Lauren until her husband, Jonathan McCullough begins “fucking up”.
What have insiders said about Lauren Dunn’s experience on Married at First Sight?
Adding that Lauren and Jonathan’s relationship was “beyond cooked”, a source said that “viewers are going to feel for Lauren at what she went through”.
“[They] will be backing her 100 per cent,” they dished.
“Plus, she wasn’t afraid to call out the bad behaviour of her cast. She said it how it was and didn’t shy away from confrontation. She’s not afraid to speak her mind and brings drama to every single dinner party.” Yass queen!
On top of this, sources described Lauren as “loyal to a T”, not unlike 2021 bride Beck Zemek.
“Just like Beck, she stands up to the Bryce [Ruthven] of the season too. You’re going to be obsessed with her. She’s defs a girl’s girl,” they said.
Timothy Smith was ‘one of the best people’ on Married at First Sight 2024
Despite having a “heart of gold”, sources have told So Dramatic! that Timothy Smith is extremely outspoken and doesn’t back down from confrontation.
“Timothy was funny. He was one of the best people on the show,” one spy said, adding, “he was a big source of drama.
“He’s not shy from speaking his mind, no matter how unpopular his opinions may be.”
They also dished that Timothy “calls other cast members out… which ruffles a lot of feathers”.
“He calls other cast members out and isn’t afraid to honestly tell everyone what he thinks.”
Who are Married at First Sight 2024‘s standout couples?
Given they’re the ones to watch, it’s no surprise that Sara and Lauren and their respective partners Tim Calwell and Jonathan, are the standout couples this year.
“Some of the couples were very fiery. Mostly, Sara and Tim and Lauren and Jono,” one source detailed.
“Sara and Tim have a lot of huge fights this season. And Lauren and Jono were involved in a lot of drama and big scandals.”
The insider added: “This year is quite different to previous years. Usually, only a few couples have drama and the show focuses on that. But this year, every single couple and every single person had major drama.”
And we love to hear it!
However, most of the newlyweds “stayed way longer than they should have”.
“They all know now that the longer they stay, the more famous they will get,” they said. And you mean to tell us they’re not on the show for love?! Shock horror!
“The cameramen and production crew kept saying to the cast, ‘We’re not used to having to coordinate this many people because by now, it’s normally only about half the couples.’
“So filming was always such a long, arduous process because of that.”
