Former Married at First Sight Australia groom Jesse Burford has called for “justice” for his mate and 2024 participant Collins Christian.

Fans have well and truly turned on Collins, especially after the first Commitment Ceremony of the season, where he put on a “performance” that was supposed to convince us he’s into his TV wife Natalie Parham.

Spoiler alert: it didn’t!

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), viewers slammed Collins for being the “fakest person [they’ve] ever seen on MAFS“.

“Collins pretending to be shocked and upset about Natalie writing ‘leave’ is next level uncomfortable,” one user penned.

However, Jesse — who rose to his own level of notoriety during MAFS 2023 — thinks producers are doing his buddy dirty.

“Justice for Collins,” he wrote on his Instagram Story during the February 11 episode.

“This edit is f*cked up. F*ck MAFS.”

Jesse then posted a series of Stories, sharing that Collins’ edit during the Commitment Ceremony was “triggering” and “upsetting”.

“I shed many tears for my boy Collins. He’s such a great, nice person and the last guy on earth to deserve what Channel 9 and Endemol Shine have done to him.

“I remember how intimidating it was to sit in front of those three puppets and feel like the entire world’s against you,” he continued.

Jesse also addressed the painful moment when Collins challenged expert John Aitken.

“Also, major respect to Collins for calling out puppet boy John Aitc*nt and asking him to give some actual advice for once,” Jesse finished. Ouch.

Jesse Burford calls the experts ‘GASLIGHTING maggots’

Jesse then went on to slam the experts, calling them “f*cking disgusting gaslighting maggots”.

“Whenever you put it to the experts, they have the same response every time, which is simply to put it back on you,” he wrote.

He then explained that if a cast member asked: “Tell me what to do”, the experts would reply: “Well, what do you think you should do?

“They accuse the cast of deflecting, yet all THEY do is precisely that.

And it sounds like Jesse has never been to therapy before, ‘coz these questions help people do the work themselves!

Jesse Burford previously spoke out in defence of Married at First Sight 2024‘s Collins Christian

In January, Yahoo! Lifestyle reported that a former Married at First Sight participant had taken to social media to reveal his buddy, an upcoming MAFS 2024 groom, wasn’t impressed with his experience.

The outlet didn’t name either participant in their coverage. However, it’s since been revealed that Jesse was the ex-MAFS star speaking on behalf of Collins.

“Collins is my boy,” Jesse wrote at the time. “He said he was horrified and saddened with his time on the show.

“He was railroaded, set up and backstabbed by producers and the experts.”

Jesse added that Collins is “one of the nicest, kindest, friendliest blokes [he’s] ever met”.

While Jesse seems to have faith in Collins’ character, his 2024 co-stars could see through his act.

“He was only there because he wanted to get famous. It was pathetic,” one star told So Dramatic!. “He’s been trying to get on MAFS for years.”
