Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Natalie Parham and Collins Christian‘s marriage is reportedly set to implode following their rocky AF honeymoon.

Fans thought Natalie and Collins’ happily ever after was locked and loaded after the lovable dorks tied the knot in the third episode of the new season.

However, their seemingly instant connection wavered as their relationship progressed to their honeymoon, and it became obvious that Collins’ lack of relationship experience was going to weigh down his new marriage.

As reported in episode 348 of the So Dramatic! podcast, it appears that there’s no way up for their romance.

One participant told host Megan Pustetto that it all comes crumbling down during the first-ever dinner party.

“Halfway through the dinner party, Nat starts crying and walks out,” they recalled. “She eventually comes back and says, ‘Guys, I just cannot be here anymore. I need to leave. I’m so sorry to Collins. I’m so sorry to you guys.'”

They added that Natalie wasn’t “in the right headspace” following the death of her dad, who passed away just five weeks before her TV wedding. However, given that he died while she was in the process of signing onto MAFS, she “felt pressured to stay and see it out”.

“Nat and Collins left the dinner party after that,” the source continued.

Producers made it difficult for Natalie Parham to leave Married at First Sight after the dinner party

A tale as old as time, producers reportedly didn’t make it easy for Natalie to leave the experiment after her announcement at the dinner party.

“Producers wouldn’t let her leave, essentially. They put so much pressure on her to stay that she eventually succumbed to the pressure and did what they were telling her,” one participant explained.

“They kept pulling on the emotional heartstrings and telling her that her dad would have wanted this for her and to give it more time and see it out since she had already come this far.”

Ah, there’s nothing like a bit of emotional manipulation to make the heart grow fonder!

Behind the scenes, producers also allegedly enlisted Natalie’s co-stars to help “convince her to stay.”

“After a very long and emotional chat with the other brides, Natalie eventually agreed to stay and give it another shot with Collins,” the insider dished.

However, that didn’t prolong the couple’s marriage any further.

Natalie Parham and Collins Christian exit the experiment at the first Commitment Ceremony

At the first Commitment Ceremony of the season, “Collins wrote stay, and Nat wrote you leave”.

“Natalie was very upset and told the experts and Collins that she ‘couldn’t last another week on the show’ and that she ‘needed to go now’,” one source recalled.

“The experts tried to convince her to stay with their usual speel, but Natalie was adamant that she was definitely leaving that day. She didn’t care what anyone else said or thought; she was going.”

As such, the experts “eventually let her go” because they “realised there was nothing they could do or say to make her change her mind”.

“I guess they had to be careful not to push her too hard, given what she had been through,” they added. “They could see she was struggling.”

Given she was so steadfast in her decision, the insider producers took care of Natalie upon her withdrawal from the show.

“They booked her a flight the next day and made sure she got home OK from the airport,” they explained.

“She said she felt very looked after and supported in every way, especially from the other contestants.”

Married at First Sight 2024 participants SLAM ‘f*ckwit’ Collins Christian

While Natalie’s co-stars raved about the “lovely” and “admirable” bride, they couldn’t say the same for Collins.

In fact, one star even dubbed the relationship newbie a “f*ckwit”!

“They weren’t clicking from the start… Collins was just giving her nothing,” they said, adding that the groom having never had a relationship prior to MAFS caused a “huge imbalance” in his marriage.

A second contestant also claimed Collins “would put on a show in front of everyone”.

“Then, behind closed doors, he wouldn’t even speak to Nat. He is so fake,” they told So Dramatic!. “Natalie could have faked it and cruised along for weeks and weeks, pretending and going along with the experiment and writing stay.

“But it was obvious she hates fakeness and bullshit, and she’s not that type of person.”

Meanwhile, their co-stars said Collins was the “most fame-hungry out of the entire case”. So, yeah, no wonder things didn’t pan out!

“He was only there because he wanted to get famous. It was pathetic,” one star said. “He’s been trying to get on MAFS for years.”

Collins Christian was ‘VERY BITTER’ when Natalie Parham ended their Married at First Sight 2024 experience

According to one MAFS 2024 participant, Collins tried to “rally support from the other grooms” and would “sh*t-talk Natalie” so that they’d “defend him” when it came down to the nitty-gritty.

However, “everyone could pretty much see through it”. So, it’s no surprise that Collins was “so mad” his TV wife cut their MAFS journey short.

“He made it very clear he wasn’t happy about it,” one co-star spilled. “He obviously wanted to stay on the show for as long as possible to boost his profile and get a career out of it. But obviously, that’s not going to happen when you leave in week one.

“He won’t even talk to Nat now. He wants nothing to do with her. It’s quite heartless.”

They added: “He said Natalie’s grief limited him from being able to make a connection, but it was clear to everyone that he wasn’t into her at all.

“Nat was totally empathetic about that and understood that he had given up a lot to be on the show and felt bad, but she had to do what felt true to her and put herself first.”

Welp, at least one participant still has their dignity intact!
