Married at First Sight Australia 2022‘s Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding have been losing Instagram followers at a rapid speed and we’re not surprised.
From claiming that “mindfulness” can cure chronic illnesses to siding with problematic figures like Jordan Peterson, the ladies have found themselves at the centre of several scandals.
As revealed in episode 320 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the reality stars have each lost around 50,000 followers since their season of MAFS finished airing.
One spy looked up the pair on the social media analytics platform Social Blade and it looks like they’ve fallen from grace.
“They were both sitting at about 600,000 followers when they came off MAFS,” the source told So Dramatic!.
“Dom was at 544,000 when she entered the jungle for I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! And she’s now at 529,000.
“Ella was sitting at around 580,000 and is currently at 566,000.”
They added: “They’re both losing on average around 1,000 followers each week. In the past 30 days, Domenica has lost 3,000 followers. Ella has lost 2,300.”
Yikes! It seems their popularity is fading away faster than Love Triangle villain Sam Fisher‘s reputation!
And as the icing on top, their arch nemesis Olivia Frazer has gained around 15,000 fans in the past 30 days. LOL!
Another source told So Dramatic! that Domenica, 29, and Ella, 30, allegedly purchased followers during their time on the marriage experiment.
So perhaps their drop in followers is the result of Instagram cleaning up bot accounts? #Exposed!
MAFS‘ Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding have poor engagement rates on social media
Not only that, but Domenica and Ella’s engagement rates have also been going down the drain.
In the past 30 days, Domenica’s engagement has been sitting at an average of 0.6%. She’s also been receiving around 3,000 likes and 50 comments per post.
Meanwhile, for the same period, Ella’s engagement rate is 1.44%. She’s been copping an average of 7,900 likes and 208 comments, which is a LOT better than her podcast co-host, but still not great.
In comparison, Olivia’s engagement is around 0.83%. Each of her posts is gaining around 1,700 likes and 60 comments.
On the other hand, successful MAFS 2023 bride Evelyn Ellis has an engagement rate of 3.56%. She receives around 15,800 likes and 208 comments.
However, she’s just come off the show and is in a very talked-about relationship with co-star Duncan James, so these higher numbers are to be expected.
