The Masked Singer panellist Abbie Chatfield and The Bachelor‘s Brittany Hockley have been nominated for the same podcast award amid their fiery feud.
ICYMI: Last December, Abbie, 28, slammed Kyle Sandilands and Brittany, 36, for problematic comments they made about her during an interview with rapper Yung Gravy on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
Now, Abbie’s podcast It’s A Lot and Brittany and Laura Byrne‘s Life Uncut are both up for the Best Sex & Relationships Podcast at the Australian Podcast Awards, which will take place on November 21.
“What a thrill to be nominated in the podcast awards for best Sex and Relationship podcast!,” Abbie wrote to Instagram. “Unsure [if my] podcast fits the bill. But who are we to say??”.
The two Bachelor breakout stars are also up for the Listeners Choice Award, which Life Uncut has won three years running.
It’s also expected that the two will come face-to-face at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs) on October 14 which should be interesting…
What went down between The Masked Singer‘s Abbie Chatfield and The Bachelor‘s Brittany Hockley?
During an appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O show, Brittany and Kyle were interviewing Yung Gravy, who joked that he had a “bit of a relationship beginning” with Abbie.
“You and everyone else,” Kyle fired back, while Brittany added, “I have no doubt”.
A disgruntled Abbie addressed the situation on her podcast, calling out Brittany for “going along” with Kyle’s “tone”.
“My reaction would be self-deprecating, not attacking. It’s high school weird sh*t and it’s also encouraging women to pit themselves against each other,” she added.
After being called out by Abbie, Brittany took to Instagram to apologise for the “misogynistic tone” of her conversation with Kyle.
However, Abbie then slammed this apology, stating that Brittany “didn’t feel shameful” after making the offensive comments and only realised the “VERY CLEAR ISSUE” after she was called out.
