SAS Australia 2023 has just begun and we have all the details about where the brutal new season was filmed.
In the most hectic series to date, 14 Aussie celebs will see if they can withstand the trials and tribulations of the REAL SAS selection process.
In an SAS first, the recruits travelled to a secret base camp in the Wadi Rum Desert of Jordan, reports The Latch.
Here, in the heart of the Middle East, the celebs will eat, sleep and train together in the sweltering heat, with no allowances made for their gender or celebrity status.
According to Chief Instructor Ant Middleton, the location presents numerous challenges, including: “Intense heat, isolation and an environment that, no matter how hard they try, they can’t escape”.
And we wouldn’t even last a second there!
Previous seasons of the Special Forces show were filmed in New South Wales.
In 2022, filming took place on the south coast in Bombo Quarry, Sea Cliff Bridge and an abandoned mine near Dapto, whilst in 2021, the series was shot in the Blue Mountains. So it’s safe to say, we’re in for a huge change of scenery!
