Insiders have dished that a “secret meeting” on The Block 2023 was behind Leah Milton‘s decision to distance herself from her “Block Bestie”, Kristy Beams.
The two contestants and their respective husbands, Ash Milton and Brett Beams, had been close since day dot, with fans dubbing the quad “mean” for their constant verbal lashings of other Blockheads.
However, during recent episodes, viewers were teased with snippets that indicate things between Leah and Kristy are about to come crumbling down. And between us, we can’t wait!
Per Yahoo! Lifestyle, Leah’s change of heart came down to a meeting she had on the down-low with co-star Eliza Paschke. At the time, Leah was reportedly urged to “free herself from an impending backlash” of being buddies with Kristy.
“What Channel Nine will not show the viewers was the secret meeting between Eliza and Leah that changes everything for House 2,” a source told the outlet.
“Halfway through filming the 2023 season Eliza pulled Leah aside and gave her some industry advice. Eliza has worked in media for over ten years and has a wealth of knowledge on how these shows get made.”
They added: “She took it upon herself to share some of her knowledge with Leah and Ash and to be fair her advice was bang on the money.”
What did Eliza Paschke say to Leah Milton on The Block 2023?
According to Yahoo! Lifestyle, Eliza — who worked as Hamish Blake and Andy Lee‘s assistant for a decade — told Leah: “Stop what you’re doing now or you will be chased out of town.”
They added: “Eliza asked Leah what she wanted out of The Block experience and when Leah got real about why they joined the show, everything changed.”
Apparently, Leah confessed she wants a career in TV, which led to Eliza giving her a brutal wake-up call.
The source dished: “Eliza put on her television producer pants and explained, ‘Leah you are being set up as the villain of the series and if you keep it up – your dreams of being a TV Presenter will be crushed forever’.
“It was quickly explained that if she didn’t start apologising to the other houses and start making Kristy accountable she should kiss her television ambitions goodbye.”
The outlet confirmed that “Leah took Eliza’s advice very seriously”. As such, the mum-of-three ensured her redemption arc was captured on camera, which reportedly rattled Kristy to no end.
“Eliza had been self-producing [sister] Liberty and herself since the start and now it would seem she is producing Leah too,” the source continued. “The sisters knew what to say and do to win over audiences.”
