Whilst Married at First Sight Australia is known for being a beautiful train wreck, 2024 will mark a fresh era for our favourite dating show.

The marriage experiment is famous for its cheating scandals, drama and red-flag behaviour.

However, according to Adrian Swift, Channel Nine’s head of content, production and development, the show will be shifting its direction in the upcoming season.

“We have tried to move away from the screech[ing] and the shouting,” Adrian told the Herald Sun on August 23.

He then explained that there’d be more focus on “genuine” relationships rather than petty drama, which we kinda love and hate at the same time.

“We still give it all the drama it needs, but we’ve tried to absolutely make sure all the relationships we see genuine potential in,” he said. “This year what we have tried to do really carefully, exhaustively, is go, ‘Is this right?’

“There will still be those moments when [the cast] take one look [at each other] and it all goes south, but we are hoping that there is a lot of love in this season.”

Married at First Sight 2024 will still be EXPLOSIVE

Despite the announcement that the show will change its tune, we’ve heard that the upcoming season of the marriage experiment will still be explosive!

According to production insiders, leaked newlyweds Jack Dunkley and Tori Adams are already on “rocky grounds” after Tori found out that her hubby had dumped his IRL girlfriend to appear on the show.

So we think our appetite for chaos will still be aptly satisfied!
