Rumours have been swirling that TV and radio personality Hamish Blake and his wife, Zoë Foster Blake, would be appearing on The Block 2023 to bid on his former assistant, Eliza Paschke‘s home.

During his appearance on Fitzy and Wippa with Kate Richie, TV host Andy Lee revealed that Eliza has worked with him and Hamish for the past ten years.

He then joked that the latest season of The Block was “rigged”, sparking rumours that Hamish and Zoë were going to bid on Eliza and her sister Liberty Paschke‘s home.

“I’ve been enjoying spreading the rumour lately that Hamish and Zoë are going to buy [Eliza and Liberty’s] place,” he joked.

“So if you’re listening…a close friend of Hamish Blake and Zoë Foster confirms very strong interest in House Five on The Block.”

The Block’s Eliza and Liberty Paschke respond to rumours that Hamish and Zoë will be bidding on their property

During an appearance on Fifi, Fev & Nick on August 9, the sisters rubbished the rumours that Hamish and Zoë would be bidding on their property.

“That’s absolute garbage, [Hamish] hasn’t even looked at [our house]. But, [he’s] very supportive,” Eliza dished.

She then implied that Hamish and Zoë would never consider purchasing their Melbourne home as the couple are “Sydney-based”.

Eliza also revealed that she stopped working with Hamish and Andy after landing her stint on The Block.

“I was never going to voluntarily leave them, but then [The Block] came up and I think it was the right transition,” she explained.

“There’s a bit of dialogue out there that [Hamish and Andy] got me on [The Block], but that couldn’t be further from the truth,” she added.

Well, that settles it then!
