The Block‘s long-time host Scott Cam has rubbished claims he is set to quit the renovation show after 17 seasons.
There’s been some speculation that the 60-year-old won’t be renewing his contract ahead of the 2024 series, with talks of a reunion special going to air with some fan-fave teams.
Channel Nine quickly hit back at these claims, telling Yahoo! Lifestyle that “the report is not true”.

Now, the man himself has weighed in, and it turns out he’s actually signed a new, lengthy contract.
“Look, I know there have been some rumours floating around that I am leaving The Block and my beloved Nine Network,” he told 9Entertainment at the show’s launch event on July 27.
“Unfortunately for those who might want to see the back of me, a couple of months ago I signed a long-term deal.
“We’re ready to go!”
He added: “I know I’m old, we’re gonna keep going!
“I love the building process… You come to a 1950s home that Nanna moved out of yesterday and end up with something spectacular three months later. That’s what I love about The Block.”
The Block 2024 location has been leaked
Scott confirming his future involvement in the series comes after the location for The Block 2024 was seemingly leaked online.
Back in May, it was reported that the brains behind the long-running renovation series had plans for another rural season, following the first of its kind in 2022.
Now, its somewhat been confirmed by an in-the-know Instagram account called The Blockinator Blog.
The page — which has over 20,000 followers, including The Block judge Darren Palmer — shared the intel on July 26.
“INTRODUCING THE BLOCK 2024!” the caption read alongside a photo of Daylesford’s welcome sign.
“Next year The Block will head to Raglan Street, Daylesford where the teams will build from scratch 5 Pavillion style homes each on 1 acre of land.”
The page also shared a mock-up image of the “proposed design submitted to council by [The] Block architects”.
“Rumour has it that producers have some tricks up their sleeve to commemorate the 20th season.”
We say bring it on!
