Sh*t has well and truly hit the fan behind the scenes of Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Evelyn Ellis, Melinda Willis and Tahnee Cook‘s friendship.
Rumours have been swirling for weeks that Evelyn and Melinda are no longer besties after a number of frosty exchanges.
Meanwhile, tensions seem to be rising between Evelyn and Tahnee after the pair unfollowed each other on social media.
As reported in episode 303 of the So Dramatic! podcast, it’s understood that Tahnee and Melinda aren’t too impressed that Evelyn has been leaking stories about them to the Daily Mail in return for favourable publicity.
However, Tahnee “isn’t wanting to comment on anything”, according to a MAFS insider.
“She’s keeping quiet because she genuinely hates drama,” they explained. “But she thinks Evelyn has a game plan and a strategy and is super fake and wants nothing to do with her.
“Tahnee has seen Evelyn do a number of shady things since filming ended, but she’s not the type of person to come out and say it like Evelyn would. She doesn’t want to be involved in drama but it’s a known fact she can’t stand Evelyn.”
What’s more, is that Tahnee is staying loyal to Alyssa Barmonde, who was in a MAFS relo with Evelyn’s new bae, Duncan James. Fair enough!
Melinda Willis feels like she was ‘used’ by Married at First Sight co-star Evelyn Ellis
Sources have also told So Dramatic! that Melinda feels as though she’s been “used” by Evelyn since the show wrapped.
Apparently, Evelyn suspected Melinda would be the “biggest star on the show”. As such, “it was no coincidence that she latched onto her and befriend her, hoping to ride on her coattails”.
“They had plans to do things together after the show,” they said. “But as soon as Evelyn got with Duncan and got all the publicity from that, she dropped Melinda like a hot cake.
“She literally stopped talking to Melinda one day. She will only contact her when she needs something from her.”
What’s more, is that Evelyn reportedly sabotaged a number of deals Melinda was offered.
“For example, Melinda would confide in Evelyn about what stuff she had been offered or was working on and Evelyn would tell her not to work with those brands,” the insider explained. “Melinda trusted her and took her advice.
“But then Evelyn would reach out to those same brands herself and ask to work with them and undercut Melinda.”
Similarly, the Big Brother UK star warned Melinda and Layton Mills off a certain publicist, only to sign with them a few weeks later.

Another MAFS participant has claimed that Evelyn is “very competitive and jealous“.
“Evelyn has also been talking shit about Melinda and Layton to other contestants saying they are ‘fake’,” they claimed. “[She] has been spreading horrible lies about them to other contestants and to people in media.”
This is reportedly because Evelyn wants her and Duncan “to be the golden couple”. So much so, that she “even suggested to Melinda that she should break up with Layton for ‘publicity'”, the source said.
“Melinda thought she was joking but she was serious. Everything is about publicity for her.”
They added: “We all think she really just wanted them to break up so she could have the full spotlight for her and Duncan.”
Which would make sense considering their “fake” showmance is in full swing!

The anonymous MAFS star also said that “it’s extremely obvious to all contestants that Evelyn used Melinda”.
Due to this, the beauty CEO has “cut Evelyn out completely”.
“When she breaks up with Duncan once the publicity runs dry and wants to come back to her, the door will be shut,” they said.
“Melinda is too busy running her eyebrow empire to tolerate fake friends and petty BS like this.
“She’s done with her.”
