Farmer Wants a Wife Australia 2023’s Farmer Brenton has revealed that he tragically lost one of his best friends Sutto during filming.

On June 5, the sheep and cattle farmer took to Instagram to share a series of photos as a tribute to his late friend.

“Sadly between filming and airing we tragically lost a best friend,” the 26-year-old wrote.

“Even after four months, there’s still not a day I don’t think about you and all the laughs we’ve shared together.

‘I’ll never forget you receiving two speeding fines in 10 mins of each other in my Ute, or being that dirty on you we hardly spoke the whole drive back from QLD, or how excited you were to watch Farmer Wants A Wife this year.

“As ‘rough around the edges’ as you were, you were an amazing father to Pippa and Darc.

‘I’ll never forget you mate,” he added.

Several of the farmer’s fans and loved ones shared their support and condolences in the comments section.

Brenton’s runner-up Rachel Boothman left a heart emoji, whilst another user commented: “Condolences… hoping those painful memories become treasured moments.”

“An awesome guy taken far too soon,” a third person wrote.

Farmer Brenton and Sophie Holcombe debut their relationship on Instagram

Brenton and Sophie Holcombe have debuted their relationship on Instagram, sharing their first loved-up posts since the show’s romance-filled finale.

On May 30, Brenton posted a sweet video to Instagram where he spoke fondly about his time on FWAW.

“Hey guys, it’s Brenton here, I’ve just got social media back and I want to jump on and thank everyone for the support over the past few months,” he said.

“It was the best experience I could ever think of. It was 100 times better than I thought it could be going into it.

“I’m so glad I got to meet Soph; now we can settle into our life and go out in public.”

Shortly after, the social media manager uploaded her own heartfelt post to Instagram.

“I always loved watching @farmeraustralia but I never thought that one day I’d be on it,” she wrote alongside a series of snaps of her time on the show.

“Meeting Brenton and going through this experience has been one of the best things I’ve done,” she wrote.
