Married at First Sight Australia’s Jessika Power has hit back at Tayla Winter’s claims Channel Nine gave her an ‘unfavourable edit’.

ICYMI: On May 22, the 27-year-old nurse roasted the network for their portrayal of her during the series, telling The Daily Telegraph that she has been left traumatised as a result of its editing.

However, 2019 bride Jessika was having none of it.

“It’s literally WRITTEN into your contracts (why can’t they just embrace it like I did.. they showed all the shitty things we did and not the nice things… fkn get over it [sic],” she wrote.

Fans will remember that Jessika was embroiled in multiple scandals during her time on the show, including cheating on her husband Mick Gould with co-star Dan Webbs. However, she seemingly embraced her villain status and has built a lucrative career off the back of it.

So maybe she’s got a point after all?

MAFS’ Tayla Winter ROASTED Channel Nine for her ‘unfavourable edit’

Similarly, Tayla caused a ruckus from day dot, from her seemingly brutal treatment of husband Hugo Armstrong to her reported fling (and subsequent racy FaceTime) with Cam Woods.

However, chatting to The Daily Telegraph, the Tasmanian admitted she didn’t recognise the person she was made out to be onscreen.

“You prepare yourself for an unfavourable edit, however, you still think you’re somewhat in control of how you’re portrayed,” she said.

“Personally, I thought I was going to get a good edit. When context is removed, your audio is cut and pasted to create conversations.”

She added: “Your facial expressions and your reactions are something completely different to what actually happened.”

Giving an example, Tayla said producers often asked them to make expressions like “a frustrated face”. However, the context would be completely different on the show to what it was IRL.

“You could be doing that to say a mouthful of food you disliked, and then it is edited so you’re making that face to a girl walking into a dinner party,” she explained.
