Isabella Carlstrom has confirmed her split from her wife and Australian Survivor star Moana Hope and our hearts are breaking for them.
The couple were married for three years. However, speculation of their split arose when Influencer Updates AU reported that the Survivor star had deleted her wife’s name from her Instagram bio.
Then, on May 15, the model confirmed that the pair had decided to call it quits in a heartbreaking Instagram post.
“It’s with a heavy heart that Mo and I have decided to separate,” the post read.
“We will continue to raise our beautiful kids together as we consciously uncouple. We appreciate all the love and support over the years, thank you.”
The term “consciously uncouple” was popularised by Gwyneth Paltrow after her split from Coldplay’s Chris Martin, and it refers to ending a relationship on amicable terms.
Moana Hope shares main priority amid split from wife Isabella Carlstrom
During an interview with the Herald Sun, Moana revealed that her “priority” is being “dedicated” to her and Isabella’s children, Svea and Ahi.
“My priority is my children,” the 35-year-old shared.
“Any free time I have outside of work is dedicated to them, and they are the most important part of my life right now.”
Many fans expressed their disappointment over the breakup on Influencer Updates AU’s page, with some musing that “love is officially dead”.
“I’m so devastated,” one fan wrote.
“This makes me genuinely sad,” another expressed.
A third added: “The realities of parenting drives a lot of people apart.”
“These two were the real deal,” a fourth wrote. “This sucks. Mostly for their kiddos.”
Isabella gave birth to their daughter Svea in November 2020 and Moana gave birth to their son, Ahi, in June 2022.
