As MasterChef Australia: Secrets and Surprises is about to begin, we thought it was the perfect time to take a tasty trip down memory lane to revisit the 10 most iconic MasterChef dishes of all time.
From croquembouche to potato salad, we’ll be recapping the scrumptious dishes that have made us salivate the most over the years.

So if you’re ready to work up an appetite, keep scrolling to see which dishes made the cut!
10. Ginger Macarons, Callum Hann, Season 2

Starting with a strong dish, the thought of Season Two runner-up Callum Hann‘s Ginger Macarons is enough to make our stomachs roar with delight.
The zing of the ginger mixed with the light crunch of the macaron has played on our memories since the second the dish graced our screen.
If only we knew how to cook something more elaborate than eggs on toast…
9. Honey Semifreddo with Lemon Crumb and Lemon Honey Caramel, Charlie Sartori, Season 8

Charlie Sartori‘s glorious Honey Semifreddo takes the ninth spot on our list because LOOK at it!
We can literally feel it melting in our mouths through the screen. Just perfection.
8. Burnt Cabbage, Leek Puree, Chilli Oil, Harry Tomlinson, Season 14

Harry Tomlinson delighted the judges with this Burnt Cabbage dish, and we gotta say, it looks amazing!
Unlike some of the other MasterChef Australia dishes, this one seems easier to recreate at home. But who are we kidding? We know our fire alarms would go off in a second if we tried to attempt this.
7. Vegemite and Chicken Dumplings, Khanh Ong, Season 10

Now this one is a tad controversial, but we’re going to throw it in the mix anyway.
Love it or hate it, Khanh Ong‘s Chicken and Vegemite Dumplings would have to be one of the most inventive dishes on MasterChef Australia.
Whilst even the words “chicken and Vegemite broth” may be enough to make you gag, with Khanh’s magic touch, we think this meal would taste pretty darn good.
And who knows? Maybe he’s whipped this one up for his bestie Matt Agnew!
6. Dutch Potato Salad, Ben Ungermann, Season 9

Potato salad is one of the best salads to exist, as we’d take carbs over leaves any day. And it seems like Season 9 runner-up Ben Ungermann has his salad skills down pat because this Dutch Potato Salad looks absolutely delightful!
We can only imagine how wonderful these flavours would feel as they mingled in our mouths.
5. Strawberry and Lychee Cake, Poh Ling Yeow, Season 12

Now it wouldn’t be a list of iconic MasterChef dishes without one of Poh Ling Yeow‘s delights.
Whilst she may have come second in the show’s first Season, the Malaysian-born chef was back better than ever in Season 12, delighting the judges with her inventive dishes.
Melissa Leong was very impressed with Poh’s Strawberry and Lychee cake and we’ve wanted to take a huge bite out of it since the moment we saw it on our screens.
4. Crème Brûlée with Burnt Honey and Paperbark, Andy Allen, Season 14

MasterChef judge and Season Four winner Andy Allen knows the way to our hearts, as his Burnt Honey Crème Brûlée looks absolutely to die for.
We’re imagining the satisfying crackle of our spoon breaking through the caramelised top layer of this delicious dessert and we CAN’T TAKE IT!
The things we would do to have even one bite…
3. Spanakopita with Roast Capsicum Sauce, Julie Goodwin, Season 14

Season One winner Julie Goodwin had a talent for creating some of the best dishes we’ve ever seen.
And in the Fans and Favourites season, the chef showed us once again why the nation had fallen in love with her in the first place after she whipped up this Spanakopita with Roast Capsicum Sauce.
Not only does this dish sound delicious, but it looks perfect too!
2. Pistachio Financier with Raspberry and Davidson Plum Sorbet, Emelia Jackson, Season 12

Season Twelve winner Amelia Jackson‘s Pistachio Financier has taken the second spot on this list and for good reason!
The cake designer has a knack for creating some of the most beautiful dishes we’ve ever seen, and we’re sure this one tastes as marvellous as it looks.
1. Pistachio and Coffee, Cardamom and Chocolate Croquembouche, Red Team, Season 5

And of course, the most ICONIC dish of all time is Croquembouche!
We’re CERTAIN that Aussies only know the word “croquembouche” because of MasterChef, but there was one in particular that really stole our hearts.
Whilst the dish has been tackled a fair few times on the show, the most memorable bouche’ to date is the Red Team’s Pistachio and Coffee, Cardamon and Chocolate rendition.
Red Team, if you’re reading this, we’d like you to cater our next dinner party. Just saying!
