Who are this year’s MasterChef Australia judges?

Queen of the kitchen Melissa Leong, chef Jock Zonfrillo and 2012 winner Andy Allen will be judging the dishes once again.

The old adage “too many cooks spoil the broth” definitely doesn’t ring true here because there are a lot of big names being thrown into the kitchen.

Beloved UK celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has been named as a guest judge and will appear across two action-packed episodes.

MasterChef Australia 2023 will also see the return of Curtis StoneMaggie BeerPeter Gilmore and Rick Stein as guests.

Who has been cast?

The 2023 season will see the show return to the original format featuring the best home cooks battling it out in the kitchen.

This year just 18 contestants have been cast. But there is a familiar face in there.

Brent Draper is returning from season 13 to give MasterChef another crack.

What is the start date for the new season of MasterChef Australia?

Mark your calaneders. MasterChef Australia is returning for its 15th season on May 1 at 7:30 pm on 10 and 10 Play.

But there’s a catch…

The season will be shorter than the usual two-month airing period.

Will there be a spin-off MasterChef show airing in 2023?

Luckily for fans, your foodie cravings will be fulfilled because a MasterChef spinoff will air soon after Secrets and Surprises.

MasterChef: Dessert Masters will feature pastry chefs competing in the kitchen for a chance to be named Australia’s first-ever “Dessert Master.”

The cast and judging panel are yet to be confirmed but we could see macaron king Adriano Zumbo, pastry chef Kirsten Tibballs and former MasterChef winner Emelia Jackson come back.

Where will the new season be filmed?

Just like previous seasons, the 2023 season of MasterChef will be filmed at Centenary Hall, Royal Melbourne Showgrounds.
