Married at First Sight’s Liam Cooper and Samuel Levi have announced their breakup which has taken fans by surprise.
The couple have been together since 2021 but on April 4, they posted a joint statement to their Instagram Stories revealing the sad news.
“This is going to be a shock for many, as much as it has been for ourselves,” the post read.
“[We] would like to let you all know we will be taking a break on our relationship, and not moving forward as a ‘couple’ for now as we navigate a few things moving forward with ourselves.”
The pair shared that they are still “best friends” and “soul mates”, and will keep “doing life together” despite their split.
“We are using this time to find each other again, and who knows what the future will hold,” they added.
They confessed that they still “love each other immensely”, and that they’ll “reassess” their relationship “when the time is right.”
“Please respect our privacy as we navigate through this. We are both happy and are doing this together,” they finished.
This is SO sad! But by the sounds of it, not all hope and love is lost!
When did Liam Cooper and Samuel Levi start dating?
In a reality TV crossover, Liam from MAFS Australia started dating Samuel from MAFS NZ back in 2021.
The pair officially debuted their relationship in July when Liam posted a sweet snap to the gram.
“Life works in mysterious ways and this guy came into my life when I least expected it,” Liam’s adorable Instagram post read.
“I met this guy early this year after the experiment. We hit it off and we remained friends until recently.
“Samuel has shown me what support looks like, what trust looks like and much more.
“I am scared, I am nervous but most of all I am happy.” Aww.
Just a few months later, in episode 103 of the So Dramatic Podcast! the couple admitted that they had fallen in love!
