In a brand new episode of So Dramatic! With Megan Pustetto, Married at First Sight 2021 alumni Liam Cooper and his boyfriend Samuel Levi (who appeared on season two of Married at First Sight New Zealand), reveal one very sweet, very juicy tidbit about their romance for the very first time…

THEY’RE IN L-O-V-E!

Yep! The couple revealed their feelings for one another while on a trip for Liam’s brother’s birthday, with Samuel adding that “[Liam] made [him] cry” with his love admission. Awww!

“We were just mucking around because we both knew we wanted to say it, but we wouldn’t say it,” Liam told So Dramatic! of the special moment.

Samuel then revealed it’s been a long time since he’s felt the effect of someone being in love with him, adding that the last time he felt this way was “well and truly before [his] time on the show, years ago with [his] first ever kind of boyfriend,”

The 28-year-old said it has taken him a long time to build up “trust and safety” in order to feel comfortable in sharing his love for Liam.

Liam, who is bisexual, was previously ‘married’ to his MAFS co-star Georgia Fairweather before a messy final vows ceremony saw them go their separate ways, while Samuel, was coupled up with groom Tayler Morgan.

The couple attributes the success of their relationship to the pandemic and lockdown, with Liam confessing that “COVID… has been a blessing”.

“It’s just thrown us into it, so we have to learn more about each other,” he said, adding that Samuel is “stuck here” for the foreseeable future.

“In a way, it’s kind of like being in the experiment again… we’re stuck to figure everything about each other.”

Liam and Samuel first went public with their relationship in early July when Liam posted a snap of the cosy couple to his Instagram, after initially maintaining that the pair were just friends.

“I met this guy early this year after the experiment. We hit it off and we remained friends until recently,” Liam wrote alongside the post.

“Samuel has shown me what support looks like, what trust looks like and much more. I am scared, I am nervous but most of all I am happy.”

AND SO ARE WE! Congratulations again to Liam and Samuel and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for this beautiful couple!

Love is officially NOT dead and seems like the MAFS “experiment” works after all!
