Turns out Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Harrison Boon‘s mum was pulling the strings on his relationship with Bronte Schofield, and Kris Jenner is shaking in her Gucci boots.
To say the couple’s trajectory in the experiment is an absolute shamoz is an understatement, and now we know why, thanks to a sneaky AF source who spilled ALL the beans.
After his shock dumping of Bronte over text, Harrison admitted to his bride that he’d been acting under the direction of his mum, Noni Boon, the entire experiment.
As dished in episode 268 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Bronte only began trusting her husband two weeks into the show.
“She only let her guard down because he suddenly turned on the charm and switched into a completely different person,” the insider explained.
Bronte then dove head-first into the romance, sensing there was “a chance for something” between her and Harrison.
However, following the explosive Couples’ Retreat, Harrison confessed that Mummy Dearest said “if he wants Australia to love him, he needs to give them the love story that they want and that includes Bronte”.
And oh, how that backfired…
How did Bronte Schofield react to Harrison Boon’s confession?
Understandably, Bronte lost it at her husband.
“Bronte was like, ‘WTF? When did she tell you this?'” the insider said. “He said his mum told him this in week two, which was the exact same time that he started stepping up and being nice to her.”
As such, the TV bride assumed their whole romance had been “fake” and suspected Harrison had been “acting”.
“And he actually admitted it,” the source confessed. “But his defence was, ‘I had to redeem my image’.
“So he lied to Bronte, led her on, and gave her false hope just so he would look like a nice guy.”
The cheeky teller-of-all then told host Megan Pustetto that Bronte “fell for it” and was convinced her partner had “changed”.
“[She] was just relieved things were working out and was glad she stuck it out with him. But he was just using her to make himself look good.
“She was got completely fucked over by him.”
Sh*t acting and crocodile tears aside, the source said Harrison was even able to “fool the other contestants into thinking he was a good guy”.
“He is honestly the best manipulator ever.”

The insider went on to say that Harrison is a “massive mummy’s boy” and would call her up “any time there was the smallest problem in his life”.
“He would go out on the balcony and call his mum because it was soundproof and he would ask her what to do,” they explained. “Then, out of nowhere, he would come back inside a different person.
“He was putting on a facade the whole time [because] his mum was telling him to keep the act up and be nice to Bronte otherwise the country will hate you.
“It was almost as though she was coaching him.”
Damn, Noni’s pulling more strings than the director of a Backstreet Boys video when all we want is for her son to say “bye, bye, bye” to this godforsaken experiment!
Now, it’s no surprise that Harrison’s mum is running crisis management when she’s been staunchly advocating for him on Facebook and defending him to trolls.
