Married at First Sight 2023 fans call BS on Cameron Woods’ ‘excuses’ about his career impacting his relationship

Married at First Sight Australia 2023’s Cameron Woods apparently has the most inflexible job in the country and fans are NOT buying his BS “excuses”.

During the March 15 episode, the carpenter’s rocky relationship with Lyndall Grace was the talk of the Dinner Party (we partially think they just didn’t want Harrison Boon‘s sulking to be the main focus of ANOTHER ep).

Cameron’s dedication to his current job became a major stumbling block for the otherwise bland duo, as he immediately prioritised his career above his relationship.

“I’ve spent the last eight years focusing on [my work] to get to the position I’m at now,” Cameron said, explaining he didn’t want to give it up suddenly.

The episode’s unexpected hero Ollie Skelton called out how unfair it was that Lyndall was expected to “move and be flexible for Cam“.

Although to be fair, Cameron also recognised that it was an unrealistic idea.

“I said, ‘what’s the point of moving from Perth to Darwin when I’m still going to be out remote?’ If she moved, it’s still not going to change the fact that I’m going to be away,” Cameron recalled.

He claimed he could be out in the bush anywhere from “two weeks” to “six months or a year” and some locations don’t have any phone reception.

Okay, maybe we’re not exactly well versed in the carpentry trade, but WTAF takes an entire year to complete with no breaks?!

Married at First Sight’s Cameron Woods uses his carpentry career as an ‘excuse’ to end his relationship with Lyndall Grace

Watching on from their weird little surveillance room, the “experts” agreed that Cameron had refused to show any “flexibility through this experiment at all”.

“It seems like an excuse to me,” Alessandra Rampolla said. “He came in [to the experiment] saying ‘I want to change things about my lifestyle‘.”

Plenty of fans agreed that his “excuse” didn’t make any sense, as there would be work available for experienced carpenters all around Australia.

Others questioned whether his controversial mother, Fiona, had been whispering in his ear. ICYMI – she previously claimed that Lyndall’s need for affection was an “insecurity” and she was “craving attention”. Big yikes!

Who knows, perhaps the long distance is what just caused Cameron and Tasmania-based intruder Tayla Winter to split up?
