Explosive drama is set to go down on Married at First Sight Australia 2023 this week, involving intruder bride Tayla Winter who quits the experiment and reunites with her ex-boyfriend back home before making a dramatic return.
ICYMI: The 27-year-old nurse and her husband Hugo Armstrong have been at loggerheads ever since the infamous butt dial scandal. Things got so bad between them, she even threatened to quit the show and “go back to Tassie” during the March 5 Commitment Ceremony.
The pair have also had a number of brutal fights during the Couples Retreat, with the main one stemming from Tayla’s candid confession that she’d been sexting her ex during the experiment. Yikes!
Now, So Dramatic! can reveal that the drama all comes to a head when Tayla walks out of the experiment for reals. According to our insider, she’s a no-show at the March 8 Dinner Party.
“Tayla left after the Couples Retreat literally in the middle of the night,” one contestant dishes. “She didn’t tell producers or Hugo, she didn’t tell a soul, she just packed her stuff and left.”
No one was aware that Tayla had made a run for it until the next morning.
“The head producer contacted her in the morning and she was already back in Tasmania,” they revealed. “They somehow managed to convince her to come back for the Dinner Party but she rocked up right at the end of the night.
“No one knew where she was until she made a dramatic entrance. We were all shocked when she walked in.”

According to the contestant, Tayla came to the Dinner Party to read a two-page letter out to the group.
“She read out this pre-written speech basically dissing a number of people, mainly Hugo,” they explained. “She was detailing how he’d upset her and all the awful things he’d done to her.
“She also accused a number of the brides of some horrible things as well.”
A second contestant described the letter as “heartbreaking” and said it left every single cast member “speechless.”
A third source has spilled even more tea about Tayla’s whereabouts after she quit the show. They confirmed she was back home in Tasmania but also claimed she had not only reunited with her ex but “hooked up/went to pound town” with him before returning for the Dinner Party.
They also revealed that Tayla and Hugo ‘have a talk” after she delivers her speech and decide to call it quits.
“Hand Hugo sit down and she says she’ll give him another chance but he says ‘no’,” they explained. “They go back to the group and announce they’re over and that’s the end of them.”
It comes after Tayla denied sexting her co-star Cameron Woods but admitted she’d seen his penis.
