Married at First Sight Australia 2023’s Dan Hunjas went missing for 24 hours during filming, resulting in a huge blow-up with his TV wife Sandy Jawanda and producers,
The 42-year-old groom has been at the centre of drama this week after Sandy complained about him never being home and going for six-hour runs.
Dan has since gone rogue on social media and revealed where he really was during filming.
However, as revealed in episode 261 of the So Dramatic! podcast, things were much worse than we’ve seen on screen and Dan was absent for way longer periods at a time.
“Dan went out drinking and didn’t come home. He was MIA for 24 hours,” an insider dished. “No one knew where he was, he just disappeared.”
The source went on to explain that the father-of-one “finally” came home at 3 am and was drunk, resulting in a huge blow-up with Sandy and the producers.
“He starts yelling at her and she’s yelling back at him saying, ‘How can I connect with you when you’re literally never here? All you want to do is drink and party’,” they revealed.
Dan proceeded to tell Sandy that they’re “just different people” but she argued that they need to talk to be able to find that out.
“Then Dan starts swearing at the camera guy and packs his bags like a child,” they dished.
“Sandy was like, ‘you don’t have to pack, this is ridiculous, just stay, I’ll sleep on the couch’. But Dan said, ‘Nup, f*ck this, I’m done’.”

According to our insider, producers were immediately called to the room when sh*t started going down.
“Then he blew up at the producer, stormed out with his luggage and left,” they said. “But he only got as far as the foyer downstairs.
“He fell asleep on the couch in the hotel’s welcome area.” LOL! What a sight to behold!
They added: “Sandy had to go downstairs and drag him back upstairs. It caused a huge kerfuffle at the hotel reception.”
