Stan Original series Love Triangle has announced a casting call for the 2023 season of the chaotic reality dating show.
The call-out to was announced via Instagram by fellow batsh*t dating show, Married At First Sight, in an Instagram video that urged singletons to “take a leap of faith” by applying.
In case you’re not familiar with the premise, the series sees contestants challenged to find a connection with someone without physically seeing them and only communicating via text or calls.
“Love Triangle challenges the notion of modern dating by asking its participants to relinquish their grasp on what they think their perfect partner should look like,” the casting call reads.
If you’re hoping to apply, you’ll need to “commit two months of your life between April and June 2023,” the call-out adds.
Endemol Shine Australia’s Chief Executive Officer Peter Newman previously said they hoped to “deliver an even more addictive series two!”
He added that “there will be “some exciting surprises in store for our brand new cast of singles.” Do we smell drama?!
The Love Triangle season one cast was given a COMPLETELY different plot when they applied for the show
The gloriously messy first season saw contestants under the impression they were on a series called Modern Dating.
They were told that the show explores the “trials and tribulations of dating in the modern age using apps.”
However, producers then pulled a fast one on them when they were offered another romantic option halfway through the season.
As reported in episode 230 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the reason for the name change was so that the “twist wouldn’t be revealed.”
Given that potential contestants are aware of the first season’s ~plot twist~, it’ll be interesting to see the characters cast in this year’s crop!
