The Bachelors Australia 2023‘s Tash Candyce has been exposed for buying fake Instagram followers… and look, nobody is surprised.

The reality TV villain appears to have gained over 10,000 followers following her short-lived (but tumultuous) appearance on the show.

As reported in episode 246 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Tash jumped from 9,000 followers to a whopping 20,000 in the days following the premiere of The Bachelors.

But a major red flag is her abysmal follower-to-likes ratio. The 31-year-old cops a meagre average of 39 likes per post. To put that into perspective, I reckon my mum gets more likes on average than that…

Before her appearance on The Bachelors, Tash – who had a small amount of fame as the ex-fiancée of The Bachelorette’s Michael Turnbull – was actually losing followers each day.

But she miraculously gained 8,865 followers after the January 10 premiere and a further 2,673 the next day, according to Social Blade.

Did that many people even watch the premiere?!

As her Bachie villain arc continued, Tash lost 579 followers the day after.

FYI – contestants don’t normally gain many followers on the first night because there are so many goddamn people to keep track of – 29 to be exact. To put that into perspective again, the other 2023 Bachelors contestants only gained a couple of hundred followers at most.

And NGL, Tash isn’t exactly pumping out high-quality content on her Instagram.

Many of her followers have dodgy bot-like usernames and profiles too. There are only so many weird burner accounts that can suddenly follow you before red flags start to fly! Just saying….
