The Bachelors Australia 2023 has been rocked by an STD scandal after a contestant claimed to have slept with a porn star.
ICYMI: As revealed in episode 183 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the X-rated Fantasy Suite is set to be introduced this season, marking the show’s horniest addition yet.
And while it’s quite the ~saucy~ prospect, it’s already causing headaches after a contestant had to be screened for STDs “on a number of occasions”.
Apparently, the cast member claimed to have slept with an adult entertainer and bragged about the rendezvous to other contestants.
“[She] had to get tested again and again because [she] claimed to have f**ked a porn star and revealed that to everyone in the house,” a source spilled to Daily Mail.
“All the producers worried about her getting close to the Bachelors.”
The source added that producers were “worried” the mansion would turn into a “super-spreader” event.
“They needed to protect their Bachelors, basically,” they claimed.
The insider also dished that another contestant required medical care due after getting a “fungal toe infection”. Charming!
What exactly is the Fantasy Suite on The Bachelor 2023?
This year, Bachelors are able to invite contestants to their penthouse at the Q1 resort on the Gold Coast.
As revealed in episode 238 of the So Dramatic! podcast, all contestants have the option to sleep with the Bachelors if they both consent.
This is in contrast to the US version, where the Fantasy Suite is only seen by the final three suitors.
“Basically, how it works is that they will film the couple going into a room and then film the door being shut,” an insider explained to host Megan Pustetto.
“The rest will be up to the audience’s imagination.”
Between this, chaotic contestants, polyamory, partner-swapping and swinging going down this season, we’re surely in for a hell of a ride!
