Two upcoming contestants from The Bachelors Australia 2023 have opened up about this season’s “partner-swapping” twist.
ICYMI: In episode 238 of the So Dramatic! podcast, it was revealed that Bachelorettes were encouraged to “explore” relationships with all three leading men and could “swap Bachelors” if they pleased. Similarly, the guys were also able to “explore” any of the women they fancied.
Now, in an interview with Courier Mail on January 4, cast members Jasmine Absolom and Eboni Burling have spilled their thoughts on the season’s latest twist.
“That [three Bachelors] was definitely a shock,” 24-year-old Jasmine said.
“You go in there with your person and you are told straight away that you are able to explore and look at other options.”
Jasmine added that the welcome change saw the ladies have more control when it came to finding chemistry with the right person.
“It just gives people the ability to have a choice,” she explained.
“In previous seasons … if you don’t like them, it’s sort of like, too bad.
“Whereas this season, if you don’t like them or something’s not going right, you have other options and you’re able to explore them.”
Fellow contestant Eboni agreed, revealing she had “initially met with one of the Bachelors.”
“So with that initial meeting, it was nice to just be familiar with one and then get to know the others as you go,” she said.
How will The Bachelors Australia 2023‘s “partner-swapping” twist work?
According to our insider, as host Osher Günsberg put it, ladies were free to “ride every ride at the show” until they found the one that they “want to stay on all day”. LOL!
“You can switch between Bachelors if you want,” one contestant dished to host Megan Pustetto in episode 238.
“They had every right to explore the other Bachelors [and] they could talk to all of the men.”
They revealed that at the first cocktail party, it was a “free roam”, despite “getting assigned to a Bachelor”.
Not only that but the leading men were allowed to “explore women assigned to another Bachelor” too.
