The Bachelors star Jed McIntosh has spoken out amid trolls branding him a knock-off of US pop-punk rocker Machine Gun Kelly.

Chatting to TV Week ahead of the season’s premiere on January 9, the 25-year-old revealed that he’s pretty unbothered by fans pointing out the (admittedly uncanny) similarities.

With both Jed and MGK sharing the same bleached blonde hair, emo-boy vibes, a love for music and heavily tattooed skin, it’s pretty easy to see how fans made the connection.

“I love Machine Gun Kelly, I’ve met him before and he’s a really nice guy,” the reality star said when asked about being dubbed a “cheap impersonation” of MGK.

“I think it’s a compliment. It’s definitely not offensive to me but yeah, we are two totally different people.”

Ever since it was announced the Victorian-based drummer was set to appear as one of our three Bachelors for 2023, fans have gone wild with (some not-so-nice) comments about his resemblance to the music star.

“Machine Gun Bogan,” one troll commented alongside a snap of The Bachelors trio on Twitter.

Another sniped: “Is that an ALDI version of Machine Gun Kelly??”

The Bachelors star Felix Von Hofe says he’s been called ‘ALDI Chris Evans’

As for our other Bachelors, Felix Von Hofe also revealed which celeb fans have been comparing him to.

“You know, “I sometimes get called the ‘ALDI version of Chris Evans‘ if anyone [the public] wants to run with that,” he said.

“I’ve seen people call Thomas [Malucelli] on social media a ‘better-looking version of Jason Sudeikis‘.”

Tbh, we can totally see it!
